Cost

What is the cost of dr2dr?

The account subscription cost is $34.99 per month, covering one physician and any/all clinic staff reporting to the physician.

Why does dr2dr cost money?

The decision to set dr2dr up as a subscription model was based on a number of factors, including a reluctance to raise full member dues during a time of economic uncertainty; the need to maintain maximum flexibility regarding upcoming negotiations with the government; and the strong potential for the introduction of e-consult fee codes to help physicians offset the system cost.

When the free trial ends, will you start automatically billing me for my account?

No. When the free trial ends in October 2017, there will not be a rollover into an automatic billing process. After the trial period ends, Microquest will contact account holders to inform the of service and billing options.

How can I offset the subscription cost?

Costs (for both family physicians and specialists) will be off-set by the ability for referring and referred-to physicians to submit Alberta e-consult fee codes (03.01R and 03.01O). This means that with your first monthly use of dr2dr and the application of the related Health Service Code, you’ve paid for it, i.e. you’ve covered the monthly subscription cost! The rest of your monthly usage is free.

Are there clinic discounts?

Not at this time. However, the subscription cost does cover one physician, and any/all clinic staff reporting to that physician.

Using dr2dr

Without an EMR, how do I capture conversations and include or attach patient information?

The process for capturing the conversation and including patient information will vary, depending on your EMR vendor. Generally, information will be imported and exported from the EMR manually, as a .PDF file. Another option is to cut and paste the conversation into the EMR application or print it off and add the print-out to the patient’s paper record.

How do I know if someone has been added to a conversation?

When someone is added to the conversation, a message will show within the conversation indicating which person was added. If you have your notifications set to instant, you will receive either an email or text message notifying you that someone was added to the conversation.

How long does a session last before timing out?

A session in dr2dr will last for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes of inactivity, you will be automatically logged out of dr2dr.
